There’s nothing so tantalising as the hint of treasure*. On a dull Saturday afternoon, that might be a few pounds found down the back of the sofa. Occasionally, it might be a detectorist’s once-in-a-lifetime discovery of an ancient buried hoard. And, oh, the simple pleasure of finding the shiniest £2 coin! 

But it could be much closer to hand....
